Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress, born in Berkeley on October 1, 1995. She is an actress well-known by her roles in Choices (2010), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006) as well as Chrissie Mayr's Content House

Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into a family of actors and filmmakers, both occupations which she has herself been pursuing. When she was nine she made her feature film debut with Sergio Citti in Sogni e bisogni. In 1988, she played her role as the main character in Cristina Comencini's debut film, Zoo (1988), as well as being in the ensemble of The Church (1989), directed by Michele Soavi. The following year she played Nanni Moretti's daughter in Red Wood Pigeon (1989) (also directed by Moretti). Close Friends (1992) by Michele Placido (both writer and director) was the point at which Asia truly began to take off. It let her progress from the roles of young girls into more complex adult character. Cannes International Film Festival was a huge achievement for the film. Trauma was her debut film created together with her father. The mother of her, Daria Nicoledi, is Argento's favorite actress. The film Trauma she played an orexic searching for the killer of her parents. The Phantom of the Opera is a film that was created by her father who passed away The Phantom of the Opera is the third three movies she's been involved in. The other two were Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. Giuseppe Piccioni used her absorbed and intense style of acting in the film Condannato a Nozze. Patrice Chereau directed Queen Margot and she also had the role of the physically challenged girl in that film. She worked again with Michel Piccoli on Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion in 1995, giving her a second David di Donatello, as and a Grolla D'oro. Asia started directing short films in the year 1994. She made two: Prospettive, 1996, she directed a document about her father; and Abel/Asia, 1998, on the cult film director Abel Ferrara. This latter was presented by the Rome Film Festival. Asia started directing her first feature film in 1999 with Scarlet Diva (2000). She was also the main actress, and the author of the script. It came out on the 20th of May the 20th of May, 2000 in Italy along with the rest of world. The film was awarded an award during the Williamsburg Film Festival in Brooklyn, New York. Anna Lou, her first child was born in the year 2001. She has directed numerous music videos. In 2002, Asia starred in The Red Siren with Jean Marc Barr, and Rob Cohen's Action thriller, which was directed by Vin Diesel. Asia also has a collection of short stories which have appeared in prestigious magazines.
